Two Men and a Truck

SLEAZY COMPANY I booked two men and a truck for a move and paid a $150 deposit. The day of the move two men came to move my stuff out of a basement unit to take to one of their storage facilities. They had to park in the back alley because of the windrows on the street the truck would’ve been blocking the street. The two men who came to move complained that there was snow towards the back alley. Yes because going through the backyard there will be snow and they refused the work for unsafe conditions. Fair enough but we live in a winter city and if they’re going through the back yard I wasn’t going to shovel the grass. The men first asked for TWO HOURS of payment just for showing up which I refused to pay. They were there less than five minutes and refused service. They refused to return my $150 deposit. This company would rather take $150 and not provide a service instead of rolling it into future move on another day and on top of that losing out monthly revenue for the storage facility. Great business practice guys. Steal a deposit and don’t provide a service. NEVER PAY A DEPOSIT for a moving service. If you do don’t expect it to be returned.
