Metal braces are more visible on the teeth than ceramic braces. Teenagers or grownups with cosmetic problems tend to use ceramic braces. Ceramic braces need more oral treatment as they are bulkier and more delicate that is why they are more noticeable on the teeth than metal braces. Ceramic braces are typically worn on the top teeth.
