In 1969, Phil Jordan began a 1200-square-foot Canning furniture store. This was the beginning of something wonderful. Don, his eldest son, joined him in 1983, and the store has since grown to 6000 leasable square feet. Our story is one of growth and progress. It is also one of community prosperity and innovation. After 25 years of success, Phil opened a new store on May 11, 1994. Our new location at 9108 Commercial Street in New Minas is a 20,000-square-foot area. Our store offers a wider range of furniture and appliances, as well as accessories. Fifty years later, our vision is expanding. That year, Sherry, Phil's youngest daughter, became part of our family business. They expanded our New Minas location by 15,000 leasable square feet in February 2011. Our store now offers a 35,000-square-foot showroom. We celebrated the grand opening of our Halifax location at 42 Otter Lake Court Bayers Lake Park with 15,000 leasable square feet of showroom space. Our showrooms feature the Canadel Dining Store, Ekornes and Flexsteel, and Palliser, which are top-quality brands. Our growth and prosperity will continue for years to come with our dedicated and hardworking employees.
