Fearless Tutoring

Fearless Tutoring Empowerment program help students develop self-esteem and identify their talents. Fear has its way of striking. The terrified student enters the classroom with a sense of dread, the whole room seems to shrink, all the desks are pushed closer together, and the ceiling appears to get lower. We want to see young people enter school with confidence, recognizing the opportunities for learning, growth, and mutual respect. We want them to feel at ease in their classrooms, to curiously debate with their classmates and to have the courage to raise their hands when they know the answer. Fearless Tutoring... Tutors are different from teachers. They may spend more time listening, for example. Listening carefully to young people can be challenging, especially for teachers who are overworked and underpaid. What are they passionate about? What makes them courageous? What is the best way for them to learn? In helping them answer these questions, we help them make school a better place. Fearless tutoring is based on a deep understanding of how brilliance and learning difficulties intersect.
