ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

All sessions are baby-led. Every baby is unique, so we modify each skill and activity to fit each one. The goal is to help them understand what they need to learn to grow and succeed. We never rush. We only progress. Your baby will learn other critical skills by blowing bubbles in the water. They will also get the chance to have their hair wet and develop their gag reflex and learn to control their breathing. Your baby will be working on their physical abilities and core strength. An essential milestone during the child's first year is gaining confidence in water and learning how to swim. Remember that safety is our top priority. Your baby will learn how to hold onto the poolside with his or her hands, and if he/she is in trouble, he/she must be strong enough to pull themselves out. Baby Swimming, Infant Swimming, Newborn Swimming

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

A series of highly positive and extensive reviews express customers' and their children's enthusiasm, approval, and enjoyment of the Water Babies swimming program, praising its exciting and engaging classes, experienced instructors, and target-based and methodical approach that enhances babies' swimming skills while making them fearless and at ease in the pool. They also showcase consistency of instruction, and both old and young participants benefit from the ample chance to recognize advancements in babies' capabilities and resulting parental feelings of happiness. One consistent praise outlines the instructors' combination of building a friendly and welcoming connection with parents and children while also imparting water safety and course content. The majority of the reviews feature the children's growth and improved swimming competence and self-confidence, not just in lessons but also in unstructured water play and aquatics at home or on vacation. Parents also recommend Water Babies for the success and adequately trained teachers, even in comparative student performance and products, noting the exceptional adherence to health protocols to guarantee everyone's health and well-being. Although the praiseworthy reviews have few criticisms, the downside of costly classes contrasts with the advantages of the skill-building swimming instructions and a warm and friendly aquatic environment. The main advantage of Water Babies is the opportunity for bonding of parents and kids learning and enjoying swimming through songs and movements.

I had a thoroughly disappointing experience with Water Babies Toronto and feel compelled to share my negative review. Regarding the swimming classes, the quality left much to be desired. The facilities were underwhelming (North PS), and it felt like they hadn't been properly maintained. There were no doors/stalls in the change rooms, women were openly changing their kids in the mens change rooms as Dads stood around dripping wet waiting for them to leave so they could change. We inquired about switching locations but the only ones remotely close were full or wait-listed. I was also taken aback by the crowded classes, making it difficult for my child to get the attention and instruction they needed. It was more like a chaotic pool playtime than a structured learning environment. At our first class, the instructor welcomed us all to the 'final class' of the session... huh? Our child with no swimming experience was then asked to perform a number of maneuvers that only graduating kids should be doing. The class was a mix of first time parents and long time parents who all just looked at each other perplexed. In terms of instruction, I expected well-trained instructors, but what we got were disinterested individuals who seemed to be going through the motions. They lacked enthusiasm, and their teaching methods left a lot to be desired. Classes felt VERY rushed as they crammed as many families into their rented pool time as possible. My child hardly made any progress in their swimming skills during the time we spent with Water Babies Toronto. To add insult to injury, their pricing was exorbitant for the subpar service they provided. I felt like I was paying a premium for something that was far from a premium experience. It's clear that they prioritize profit over the quality of instruction and customer satisfaction. For a similar price we could have hired a private instructor for far better results, or paid 1/4 the price and stuck with city programs. Not happy with the classes? Better let them know two months in advance or they're going to hold you at gun point with your credit card and force another session on you. They have a ridiculous rule that you need to cancel before the 25th of the month so they don't auto-commit you to paying for another session two months later. Our first lesson was on the 23rd of the month, that gave us a whopping 2 days to reach them to cancel a THIRD session. We let them know 33 days in advance that we had no interest in being there but they just hid behind their policy and charged our account another $170 for a program we wanted no part of. Overall, my experience with Water Babies Toronto was a frustrating and disappointing one. I would strongly caution anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for a better swim program that values its customers and provides a more conducive learning environment for children. ** To Water Babies directly... I know you'll follow-up with a canned response to this review about how clear you make your cancellation policy, but you can look at all the other negative reviews at various locations and maybe consider it's time to re-evaluate your 'policies' drop the sketchy auto-subscribe system and maybe you'll leave less customers angry and feeling taken advantage of.
we had 3 months of classes with water babies and it was a horrible experience. English is not my first language so when they first explained their cancellation policy to me, it was very confusing. but we signed up anyway because we really want our baby to be good in water and this school was recommended to us. after 2 classes, our son hated it and was scared to be in water, even during bath time. we tried to ask water babies to cancel but because it was past the 25th we had to pay for 2 more months!! we were angry but they would not work with us to at least charge us just one month. in the end, we had to keep bringing our son but he hated every lesson. we regret so much choosing this school and now will be telling all our friends to go somewhere else. the classes weren't even helpful since the teacher couldn't do anything to help him feel comfortable. total waste of money
HORRIBLE customer service. These ladies and gentlemen make up scenarios to write in their notes sections. My whole class has been complaining for the last 8 or so weeks. Classes getting cancelled last minute, no refunds, it’s absolutely ridiculous! You’re also supposed to have top priority for next sessions when you’re already enrolled in their classes…. We didn’t take top priority. So now we’re left without swim lessons.. after being out of the pool already for so many classes. What’s the point In paying their ridiculous prices? Bad customer service, no refunds, and no classes? Looks like my little one is going to forget all his knowledge and skills because we don’t have a pool or swim lessons.. again. LOL pathetic!
