Ana Cardenas graduated from Wellesley College, Massachusetts, where she studied anthropology and psychology. She transferred to Washington D.C. and then the George Washington University School of Medicine, where she received her M.D. She finished a three-year dermatology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center after an internship. She was also the General Medical Officer of the 43rd MASH Unit 15190 at Camp Humphreys, Korea. Dr. Cardenas completed a transitional internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center before returning to Washington, D.C., and completing a three-year dermatology residency. She was promoted to Major during her last years of service and ended her career at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Dr. Cardenas is accredited by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and the Kern County Medical Society. Cardenas is licensed to practice in California and Florida. Ana holds affiliations with Bakersfield Memorial Hospital and Mercy Hospital. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
