Founded in 2023 by Keaton Ekoniak, Ekoniak Tutoring & Coaching was established as a company after the founder noticed that schools were inefficient in their learning process. Its owner identified learning inefficiencies in the classroom before establishing the company, going through high school and the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Schools focus on teaching academic content; Keaton acknowledges that schools do not teach students how to learn, just as math, science, and English require. Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child agrees with him. He believes that Executive Functioning skills, which improve our ability to learn and navigate everyday life, need teaching. This realization inspired Keaton to create Ekoniak Tutoring & Coaching. The company’s objective is not just to provide tutoring services in Menlo Park, CA and help students boost their course grades or understand school subjects better; rather, Ekoniak wants to assist young students in learning the basic learning techniques overlooked in a classroom setting, such as Time Management, Organization, Note-Taking, and Study Habits.
