Mark D Gershenson Attorney at Law Recent Customer feedback:1. Highly NOT recommended, he doesn’t listen -- He does not listen to your side of the story and makes up his mind before hearing all sides of the argument. I picked him because his reviews say he tells it like it is and not what you want to hear. He tells it like he thinks it is before hearing all the facts and circumstances. for example, He read the copy of the restraining order that i was issued and told me basically I was guilty and we will try to reduce the sentence. Did not offer one glimmer of hope that I had any chance of succending. He is also very argumentative and stubborn. In my retaining letter he had several important facts incorrect and said it didi not say that. Once i told him i won't be retaining him he writes back about how those were minor proof reading errors and I was blowing it out of proportion. To top it all off he emails me the night before my hearing and this is what the email says....."Thank you for NOT retaining me" This was after four or five days of no communicaton. That shows how unprofessional he is. He may be a decent lawyer, IDK, But i was paying him to represent me and I said i want to fight it. So based on his argumentative stubborn personality alone he was not a match for me. Maybe he has done well in the past , IDK, But he told me pretty much you are guilty and wanted to start negotiating a lessor penalty before he listens to me. Well guess what? my case was dismissed. He totally did not listen to how concerrned I was to have a domestic violence restraining order out against me. No big deal you are retired he said , It is an epic big deal to me to have that on my record when in fact I was the one being abused. Again, it ideeply disturb me to have that on my record, It affects you the rest of your life. Thank god we did not start with trying to get a lessor sentence. Maybe he is succeful sometimes, But that was not my experience. He was argumentative about everything, He gave me bad advice and I am out $500. Had I not fired him it could have been a lot worse. I do not recommend this person and would not hire him for any serious legal matter. Eric E2.
