About Amel I’m Amel, and I was born in a small New England commonwealth community. Even from a young age, it was obvious to me how ignorant and poor people were in my society. The world I lived in was a tough one, but I found comfort and calm in artistry. It wasn’t just an escape for me. It was my way of making my voice heard in a culture that didn’t permit change. Each chance I got, I would hop on a train to the nearest city. Everyone looked at me differently because I was from a small town. After a while, I started to love the way it felt to be different from the crowd. The urban culture, the music, and the diversity inspired me in a way that nothing ever had before. I soon adapted to the new societal ways, and my style evolved. My artistry evolved too, with my style influenced by music, architecture, graffiti, and other forms of art. My styles changed as I experienced new things and travelled to new places. In those days, my artistry was a hobby, but the experiences were unforgettable and filled with self-expression and creativity. I started studying spatial arts, geometry, and advertising right after high school. Although my education and experience introduced me to these art forms, they also defined my passion for this art type. Most of my work is inspired by my past, from nature to my neighbourhood. For me, art is life.
