The school was also expanded into Illinois with Larry's Barber College Joliet and Rockford added in 2006 and 201. The company's leaders also saw the need to start the first barber school in Cook County Department of Corrections in 2010, and Larry's Barber College accepted the request to operate the county jail. The programme adopted by the company enrolled over 300 men and women inmates, with many people, doubting its success because the Department of Corrections has never done anything meaningful for the inmates with the limited funds at their disposal.
