ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Our instructors have over 150 years of combined experience in education. Each of our teachers has undergone a criminal background check, achieved higher education in their chosen field of instruction, and holds active membership in the local arts community of Indianapolis. Abigail earned Diploma and Licentiate degrees in Harp Teaching from the A.B.R.S.M. in 2001. She has been playing the harp for over 20 years and holds over 10 years of experience teaching students to play the harp in Indianapolis. Her students have reached the intermediate and advanced levels of playing over the years. Some of her students choose to study the harp in college and become professional harpists. Abigail is an affiliate teacher at The Harp School, Inc., where she uses Carol McClure's Angel's Harp(tm) Methodology for Beginners. She keeps track of how well her students are progressing using A.B.R.S.M. Preparatory examinations. Her goal is to work with students and see the progress they make over time. Angela has amassed 10 years of teaching experience and 12 years of performance practice. She was raised in a musical household and found her passion for music and teaching through this. Angela received her Bachelor of Arts in Music in Violin Performance from Thomas Edison State University in 2016. In 2021, she earned her Master's in Violin Performance from Butler University. During her Master's studies, Angela was a concertmaster for both the Hendricks and Butler Symphony Orchestras. Angela continues to perform with numerous Indianapolis orchestras, including the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, the Lafayette Symphony and the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, among others. Her goal is to pass on her passion for music to her students so they can make their own music and share it with their local communities. Angela has experience working with students of all ages and levels.
