Dr. Marek Stapiski established the Grand Rapids Psoriasis Center in 1978. Dr. Stawiski is very empathetic to his patients since he has had psoriasis since he was a child. Stawiski specialized in Dermatology and psoriasis at the University of Michigan and was a principal in opening the U of M psoriasis center and researching numerous new treatments for psoriasis. He moved to Grand Rapids in 1978, launching what is now the biggest center for psoriasis treatment in Michigan, the Psoriasis Treatment Center. A native of Grand Rapids, Matt Zoeteman is excited to join the dermatology team at Western Michigan's Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment Center as a physician assistant. Matt Zoeteman from Grand Rapids graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Master in Physician Assistant Studies. He was licensed by the state of Michigan in 2017 and has also been board-certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Zoeteman has been a member of both the American Academy of physician assistants and Michigan Dermatology Practitioner Assistants since he was licensed. Matt and Cait, a dietitian, enjoy exploring Michigan. Matt can be found at Muskegon's dog beach with his black lab Jack. Matt is driven by his belief that every patient should be treated as if they were family, and he is passionate about working with patients, advocating for them, and helping them treat their skin conditions.
