The public defender fails to advise me of changed court dates or reschedule court dates when he couldn't show... only to find out the last time he had 4 hearings and went to none. he was completely misinformed on the method of electronic home monitoring. he stated they only use the phone app and they don't use ankle monitors anymore. They gave me an ankle monitor; nothing for the phone. And it did last the entire 3 days, not just part of day one, all of day two, and part of day three like he initially told me. he would not call or communicate with me other than in court. No one should be subjected to this incompetent idiot. Public defenders are the worst Good defense attorney if you need one... he helped me deal with the situation that frankly, I never should’ve even been drug into court on... If I were to need Defense help again, I would trust him. I remember never ever ever ever EVER getting a call back or even talking to my public defender (Shawn) until the day of court. Had I known any better at the time I would’ve requested different and better counsel and I should’ve been complaining that I didn’t feel like my public defender was taking the job seriously.
