Ed Napleton Auto Group purchased Napleton Hyundai and Napleton's Hazelwood Genesis on January 8, 2018. We, the Ed Napleton Auto Group, maintain every employee and enhance the community involvement and charitable activities throughout the St. Louis area. We are proud to claim that Napleton Hyundai and Napleton's Hazelwood Genesis are still just as viable as they were before the changes. Our two locations proudly service many municipalities in or adjacent to the St. Louis area. The Ed Napleton Auto Group continues to be devoted to its customers in every phase of the vehicle buying experience. Our goal is to achieve unparalleled customer satisfaction. In 1931, Edward W. Napleton established his first automotive business on Chicago's Near South Side. The Napleton Buick Service Station was opened with a $700 loan, a robust work ethic, and a reliance on common courtesy. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was there to help in the early days of growth. Napleton's first franchise was a DeSoto, but when the DeSoto brand was unexpectedly cancelled, the firm quickly secured other Chrysler nameplates. Edward and Francis believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, principles they handed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children work in the automobile business exclusively. Edward F. (Ed) Napleton is a third-generation auto dealer, and he began working at his father and grandfather's dealership as a kid. As a technician, he worked his way through the ranks, then in sales & finance, and then general manager. At 23, Ed became the youngest dealer in the nation when he was awarded a Pontiac store in Blue Island, Illinois.
