Tully’s Kennels started under the management of the Tully family in 1962. Allen and Betsey Tully, the kennel founders, began with Poodles and Dachshunds, then moved into Scotties, Borzois, Salukis, and Afghan Hounds. They showed all of these breeds and were actively engaged in the Nebraska and Council Bluffs Kennel clubs during the late 60s, 70s, and 80s. The Afghans were sold all over the world as beautiful beloved pets and to the show world. Some dogs became the anchor stock for people starting their own showing/breeding career. The most well known of all, Ch. Khayam’s Apollo, was the Afghan Hound group winner at the 1973 Westminster Dog Show and was one of the top producers of champion offspring. Allen and Betsey both live to the present day in Omaha. At Tully's Kennels, the most favorite part of the business is the puppies! For many customers, buying a puppy is huge and significant, and it is an intimidating prospect that could be a lifestyle change. It is a great time to practice and try it on for size for those 10 days. This takes the pressure off our clients and us. This clause is put in our sales contract so both parties are safe. If a puppy is returned, it thinks it is coming “home.” Only some puppies come back, maybe 1– 2 per year, and many of them eventually find the right persons.

Reviews from Tully's Kennels show that customers are happy with their purchases, highlighting the facility as clean and the staff as friendly, healthy pets they brought. Many customers commented on the unique and wonderful training the dogs received at the kennel, and praised the socialization they saw in the dogs too. Customers like the idea that Tully's works with breeders to ensure that the puppies are well cared for and have a health guarantee as well. Many posts were from customers who two, three, or more years later still are happy with their baby's proper health. The happiest part of the story has to be that the clients talked about how well the puppies had been treated at the kennel. Many of these clients will come back to Tully's Kennels to buy their next puppy. Tully's could improve customer satisfaction if people felt that they had lots to choose from if they want to help the breed. Customers want the chance to offer their opinion, and they want to have a lot of time interact with the pets considering giving them an area where they can do that there. Tully's might also improve their customer service if they keep responses to emails in a timely manner, instead of being slow to respond in the online feedback. Overall, the reviews were positive to the extent that most people were generally satisfied with the experience. So there are a few people to remember that there is no limit on how often they interact with their animals and that dogs are animals that rely on their humans for everything.
