Took them months to finish the install and inspections and get the power turned on past when they said it would be done. Then the solar panels only produce 1/3 of the energy they are supposed to. So I am left with a $135 solar panel bill and 2/3 of my electric bill every month. When I pointed this out to the installers before they left, I only received a generic, "give it a few months and the levels will balance out", I contacted them and the AVVIO sales rep about it multiple times and kept getting the same response. It's been 9 months now and the 1/3 amount hasn't changed through summer or winter. Now when I contact their outsourced support line they tell me they did their job of installing the equipment and they're not liable for making sure it was working in the first place. The contract I signed states there is a 10 yr warranty on their workmanship and a 25 yr warranty on the equipment. The sales rep promised me several times that if anything goes wrong with the solar panels I can just call them up and they will take care of it and that the panels I was getting would be more than enough. Lies. This company relies on people too unfamiliar with taking legal action against them to run their shady business.
We purchased solar panels from PAIC Solar in July of 2022. They did not come out to install them until November 18, 2022 and they were not up and running until February of 2023. On April 19, 2023, something caused the panels to stop working. We did not discover this until June of 2023 when we got an electric bill for ~$30. I called them and they wanted $150 to come and look at them, even though they should be under warranty. After going back and forth for a week or so on whether they can come out without paying or if I would be reimbursed, I decided to pay it and have them come out and deal with it later. The earliest they could come out was 2 weeks later on July 10, 2023. The day they were supposed to come out, they called me around 12:30pm to let me know they would have to reschedule for the next day. They did come out the next day, spent 5 minutes at my home, then told me the team that installed it didn't do something right and that's what caused the issue and it should be fixed now. I have this on video as my doorbell camera was recording at the time. The next day as I was trying to deal with getting the $150 refunded, it was discovered that the solar panels stopped working yet again. We set it up for them to come out again, and was told it would be at least 3 weeks before they could come out and they would have to call me back after getting the schedule. I finally was notified they had a date of 8/14 for them to come out and work on them. I received a call from them on 8/7, stating they would be out on 8/23. I asked about the appointment for 8/14 and was told that was a tentative date. This has been over a month since they first came out to look at the issue and they only spent 5 minutes and I had to pay $150 for that. They came out 8/23 and spent an hour and a half working on things. When they finished up, I was told that one of the solar decks had a loose wire that arced to another wire. He also told me he went through and tightened all the wires on all the decks just to make sure, but while he was very nice and genuinely seemed like he wanted this taken care of, I’m not holding my breath. Not only were the panels not working due to an installation issue, it was a potential fire hazard.
I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 8/7/2023 and received a response from PAIC on 8/16 stating a manager would be calling me first thing the following morning to address my concerns. As of today, 8/25, I have received no phone call and rejected their response with the BBB.
The laziness of the techs that installed it and the lack of communication is unacceptable. I will never use this company again, and if I tell anyone about my solar panels, I make sure to say “Don’t use PAIC Solar.”
Terrible company doesn’t pay their employees beware.
Please read the bad reviews, they are just as my experience has been, problems at every step of the road. We were already paying for our panels before they were up and running, and even since they have been running, 2 of them have not been working and we have been having a very hard time getting anything done about it. Now they say they are coming on Friday, but it could be any time so I have to cancel all plans and stay home all day to see if they show up. First inspection was failed, they finally came and "fixed it," nope, had to come back again to fix it. Many many other issues along they way, I would never recommend them.
My daughter and I both bought solar panels from Vivint in September 2022. She got hers installed in October 2022 by another company. She did not receive permission to operate until Feb 2023. Our solar panels were installed December 30th, 2022 and we thought here we go. We are going to be making payments on these decorative panels for 4-6 months like our daughter before getting them up and running. I WAS WRONG!! I was frustrated at PAIC at first but after connecting with PJ and his wife Kayla they got the ball rolling and it only took them a month to get us up and running. My only regret is not going directly with PAIC solar to begin with. I will be recommending PAIC Solar to everyone I know and sending them PJ's way. Thank you!!
