True Blue Tattoo opened its doors on Red River Street in 1998. A group of friends with many talents had built the building to offer it as a lovely and comfortable place to get anchored. To this date, what is now referred to as our "street shops" still stands along that street. In 2013, we opened our Airport Boulevard place. This branch was established by the senior guys who had stayed in the downtown shop until they were nearly due for retirement, but the popularity of tattooing among people made them too busy to slow down. With time, we have been able to understand natures and characters of tattoos as different trends unfolded. Our tattoo artists have ventured into unique art that most people thought would be impossible to accomplish through tattoos. We have tattooed many generations of people, with some of them being generations of the same families, where the children keep on picking tattoos from our shop, many years apart but on the same specific day. With time, tattoos have evolved from being subculture to being associated with sailors, schools, and mainstream culture, where some tattoo designs can be found in supermarkets. We still feel happy whenever we put on tattoos when they are still fresh and clean. This is because they make people very happy as they used to be many years ago.
