This is a review for the Bee Caves location and medical side. I made an appointment online a month ago for an annual check up and the quickest available was Dr. Adam Smithe. I should note, if you make an appointment online you WILL NOT get a confirmation email. I had to call two weeks ago to confirm my appointment. FF to today's appointment. I was running 10 min early and then as Austin 8am traffic has it, there was an accident. I called the office from my car FIVE TIMES with no answer. I arrive downstairs and they said I needed to go upstairs. At that time, when someone finally saw me at the front desk, I was now 13 minutes late. As I checked in I told her I had called 5x with no answer. She said, "Let me go ask the Dr if he can see you." She came back and said, "Unfortunately, he cannot. We will need to reschedule." Let me go ahead and say it's 20 minutes one way for me to get to this location and I'd have been a first time patient. I looked at her and told her I called five times, no answer, and what a horrible first time patient experience this was. She apologized and shrugged. I later called to complain and finally someone answered! I told her the situation and how horrible it was and that's when I found out if you book online, you don't get an email and there's a 10 min grace period. Here's the deal - if he'd have been 10 minutes, 20 mins, 30 mins late to work you know I'd have to wait on him. I was 13 minutes by the time I finally got seen and it sounds like he was in his office because they'd not have been able to walk in if he was with a patient, so he just said, "No." I will not be going back here. Word of mouth travels far and fast especially when you have a horrible experience. If you are looking for a dermo, don't go to Bee Caves. Go somewhere else where they answer the phone and are considerate of you and your time.
