My BA was in Individual and Family Development from Seattle Pacific University. I then returned to SPU for my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. This is where I hoped to pursue my counseling career. My training began as a counselor in a Seattle-based mental health center. I worked with individuals and couples to help them deal with a wide range of problems. Since then, I've gained extensive experience in working with families and individuals in both a group setting as well as in my private practice. It is a privilege to be there for each of my clients through their most difficult and joyous moments. From my personal life experiences, I have developed my calling to counseling. As the youngest of the four children in my extended family, I have spent most of my life interfacing with them and witnessing the changes that take place within families as a result of major life events. Through my development years, I saw families and individuals struggle with cancer, loss and major life transitions. Divorce and mental illness were all common. Through this experience, I learned the value of professional support during major life transitions. This inspired me to pursue a career as a counselor. Over a decade of working with parents and children facing many challenges, I realized counseling was the best way to support and serve families and individuals in their most vulnerable times. Through my work and training, I've become more passionate about my wonderful calling to help those who visit my office. Born and raised in Puget Sound, I love boating and anything that involves the sea. My wonderful husband and I have been married for over 11 years. We enjoy boating, running, pickingleball, and spending quality time together with our 3 daughters and their families. My heart is a hostess and I enjoy hosting.
