About this business
Artpoint Gallery & Studios Society (formerly the Calgary Point of Art Society, 1991) was incorporated under the provisions of the Societies Act in 1998. Artists formed the studio gallery, a non-profit artist-run society supporting and promoting visual arts and art education in Calgary and the surrounding region. It is one of the most significant artist-run cooperatives in North America. The organization's newly-renovated building in historic Ramsey-Inglewood contains 23 studios, a resource/classroom, two galleries, and the foyer and hallways which have been turned into gallery spaces featuring over 50 member artists and visiting artists. The works include traditional portraiture and photography, contemporary paintings, miniatures, and large-scale sculptures. Our pricing structure is very reasonable: prices are typically 25-50% less than in a commercial gallery setting. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express) and checks are accepted.
