ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Galien Johnston Hattori and the Hattori/Williamson School of Ballet were founded by Hattori/Williamson after overwhelming successes in their professional careers. Recognizing that those who aspire to careers in dance may benefit from a better and more comprehensive dance education, they decided to establish a school. Both are driven by their desire to grow ballet, adapt it to the 21st century's evolving requirements, and their admiration for this art. Their passion for ballet for ballet is that it resembles their "home." Ballet has given them purpose and specific challenges. This art has a long history, having existed for over 500 years, and has shaped them as dancers, teachers, and mentors. The Hattori/Williamson School of Ballet was created to share the passion, knowledge, and experience of Hattori and Williamson with other individuals who also desire to grow and come closer to the light. Today's students see it necessary for them to receive advice and learn from seasoned professionals who have excelled in the art of dance. Each student's path is unique, and it demands commitment, faith, and support beyond their aspirations. These values have guided their individual careers, as they were blessed to be mentored by the most skilled and successful people in the field who embraced them. These experiences have led themercullesiorts to create the Hattori/Williamson School of Ballet in order to offer their expertise, knowledge, and leadership to the young people of Calgary.
