Sundance college has given me a chance to give back to the world in more areas that I can even think of ! All it takes is a little dedication and integrity and meet your instructors and courses deadlines ! And with your diploma that key alone can open many doors!
Stay away from this school, they're a mess! They cant even spell my name right yet its right in the email and when you need assistance they're reply is far to late. Everything is pretty much online including the books which i find ridiculous considering the high school fees . I myself learn better when i have physical books to look back on even when I'm finished a course. I'm disappointed but who would want to graduate from a school that's so disorganize and cant even spell their own students names correctly. Save yourself time and money !
They are brutal! the diploma course itself I did not finish as the information placed in front of me had not enough information to carry over into a job that would have been sustainable. The tuition is where they get you so if you are to quit there is nothing you can get back. The staff themselves are just one for all. Setting up a time when I can pay back the amount I still owe them from my student loan is quite the experience. They will threaten you and call you and make you feel bad even when you schedule a date and time each month to PAY!! be careful before signing up!!
I have taken 2 courses with Sundance college. I just completed general commerce of business. I am a slow learner, however my instructors Vinny and Calvin were amazing. They were always available for questions and made time to help me any time i got stuck, which I got stuck a lot. I had to travel during my course and being able to do everything on line helped make it possible to finish. I have also recommended this class to many people i know. with the right staff anything is possible. I strongly believe i wouldn't have done as well as I did with out my amazing instructors. Thank you again Vinny and Calvin.
I took the Professional Legal Assistant program from Sundance, and while I worked hard and passed all my classes with honours, I feel that I was in no way prepared by Sundance for actual work in a busy law firm. I had worked in businesses and insurance offices for more than 10 years before changing careers to become a legal assistant, so I had practical and relatable business and computer skills. It should have been a breeze. It's not been. Even after more than 10 months of working, it is still a struggle. Almost every day I find out needed information and skills that I never learned. A less tenacious person in my position might have quit because of it, but I need the employment so I stay and do my best.
I guess I should not be that surprised. My Business English & Proofreading instructor could barely speak English herself.
The practicum Sundance found for me was basically worthless, other than a box to tick so I could complete the course. The 3 (wasted) classes dedicated to the energy industry had nothing to do with oil & gas companies except to say how bad they were for the environment and to talk about so-called green initiatives.
The other classes (Criminal, Civil, Commercial, Corporate, and Family law) were just reading from textbooks and answering questions from the reading. We never got to actually use any legal software or have any do any actual research. It's fine to read an e-book (we didn't get actual physical textbooks other than a typing manual) and answer questions based on what we read, but it's completely different working in an actual firm.
If you want to do well and feel prepared, I recommend taking the time to go to an accredited 2-year program like MacEwan University used to have. The hands-on training in learning precedents, the rules of Court, the way the law REALLY works, etc., that you would learn in a proper classroom situation would be worth the added time and cost of such a program.
The best thing I can say about Sundance is that they made me by a laptop which I still have, and the fact that they were the cheapest option, available to me - even at @ $17,000,00. I guess you really do get what you pay for.
I believe enrolling at Sundance college was one of the best things I could ever do and l would honestly recommend this college to anyone because it is worth it.
Super happy with my instructor Noor Sultan! She is thorough and I've succeeded well under her guidance! Highly recommend sundance college!
I have had some struggles in my class, but I have been blessed to have Nayaab Cheema as my instructor. I am taking this course because I always regretted not going on to a secondary education. And am on a leave from work and thought "Why not?"
Nayaab is very knowledgeable and offers support when needed. Her videos she does for the course are the most engaging and fun. Makes me smile. She does not just read off a page Nayaab makes it her own. Such a admirable woman and teacher. She has patience and kindness but is still a professional. Much thanks for all you do Nayaab.
Hello, Im enrolled in online Addition Councelling, so far I really enjoy taking the course even though there is a lot of reading and studying to do, there are alot of interesting information to learn about. The last couple of courses I was in I had a really awesome instructor Jordan Joan, he taught the course so much easier and interesting to understand what you are learning about.
Hello, Zaenab Aiyepola. I just wanted to thank you for all of the help and support you gave me today. I was really super pleased, and I just wanted to write this to tell you that the support you gave me today was really helpful. Before I met you, I had difficulties getting a job but all of the information you gave me was really helpful, and I really can't thank you enough. Thank you very much.
Just finished my EMR and Billing course with instructor Moe Sanduga. I’m just waiting for the last Knowledge Assessment to be opened tonight at midnight and I know I will do great as Moe is an awesome instructor! He is very patient in explaining when someone asks questions. He explains it clearly. Just bring out that question you have in mind and he will give you back the answer either in the tutorial or through email. Any concerns you have he is willing and happy to help you out. I had a wonderful time learning in his class. All the instructors and other staffs including Tech support are very great and helpful. I recommend Sundance College to everyone!
