Founded in 1991, Alberta Ballet School is one of Canada’s premier dance schools. Located in Calgary, Alberta, Alberta Ballet School extends to Edmonton and has over 1,000 students enrolled in its Professional Division and Open Division programs. Ashley McNeil is the Artistic Director of Alberta Ballet School, which is the official ballet school of the Alberta Ballet Company. Under her leadership, the students share the stage with company members, learning and training alongside the other members of the artistic staff. Our environment is one of warmth and positivity, and our faculty is recognized worldwide. The School gives students exclusive access to Alberta Ballet’s artist staff and international dance talents. Choreographers also often teach master classes, and students have the opportunity to fill support cast roles in large-cast productions like Giselle or The Nutcracker by Alberta Ballet shows.
