A total of 140 hours of Beauty Culture Training in Alberta is required. 39 weeks are required to complete the program. However, students may complete it in as short as 37 weeks. The classes are held Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening all throughout. Due to the tremendous time commitment, be ready to make sacrifices. Applicants must be at least seventeen years old and have received grade 11, 60 to 70 credits. They must also exhibit a professional and mature attitude. Any General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) is not accepted, and G.E.D. will substitute high school credits. Students whose first language is not English or who have not undergone formal English schooling (which excludes ESL classes), must submit a TOEFL score with their application. Students must get a score of at least 75% for each of the Practical and Theoretical tests. This includes the topic-specific semi-final exams and an extensive final examination. Exams are held every Thursday. These exams are part of students' course and are essential. The course ends with practical assessments completed throughout the course. This test mirrors the provincial exam all students must pass before receiving their license. We hold our students to high standards and expect them to be prepared for the Provincial exam.

Est-elle Academy generally receives positive evaluations and is lauded as one of the most affordable and welcoming hair training facilities for both students and clients. Many users recommend this place, indicating that they always return for other services and that their first experience there was fantastic. Some customers told of their favorite stylists, with Samantha and Kayla receiving special mentions. For many users, the team's communication and follow-up are on point. Joanne, a recurrent customer, wrote in her positive feedback that she had a consistent service and that she would only book an appointment at the academy even after three years. However, the students' skill is not always guaranteed, and a mother recounted how she had a terrible experience when another salon let her down at the last minute when bringing her son for his 16th birthday, but a supervisor and student named Kevin worked together to fix the damaged hair. This presents the fact that the Academy has a reliable customer service and a tough group of students who can rescue any haircut or color disaster. There are always smiles and laughter because the stress is minimal while there. If you are finding a reliable but welcoming salon, consider booking with Est-elle Academy. This way, you will receive outstanding training and affordable services.
