Roy Lord and Ed Coates established Lordco Auto Parts in 1974 in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. Maple Ridge quickly recognized them as reputable auto parts sellers with outstanding customer support. As the business grew, Lordco gained more consumers and opened new locations.
Ed bought out Roy in 1980 and expanded the company in BC. Ed tragically died in 2014. The Ed Coates Memorial Foundation, founded by Ed's family: Marlyn, and his children, Samantha, Ian, Sarah, and Candace, to honour Ed. The Executive Leadership Team of Lordco Auto Parts includes Ed Coates' family members, who run the company according to Ed's vision.
The beginning of our expansion that started in a 900 square foot store has turned into Western Canada's largest privately owned automotive parts distributor and the region's top aftermarket parts and accessories retailer. Lordco Auto Parts is home to over 80 outlets, nine truck centers, seven central distribution centres, more than 2,000 employees, a 500-vehicle delivery fleet, and over 360,000 parts numbers.
Our locations are spread across Western Canada, where we proudly support local communities. Our branches offer both retail and wholesale supply for all of your auto parts needs.
