Polaron Solar Energy

Stay far away from these people! Last fall hurricane Fiona came through and a tree fell on our garage. The racking for the panels had been installed, but the panels themselves were not yet. I contacted Polaron and included pictures. The first response was sending us an invoice for $1000 immediately without inspecting the damage. I responded that only one rail was bent and only a very minor amount. And asked: "What am I paying for? Please come check it out before charging me". Polaron said: "We will have the technicians check it out when they install the panels". The technicians came to install the panels. I spent the whole day talking to them, bringing them food and drinks, letting them use my restroom etc.. Nice guys. I asked them what they think about the damage from the storm? The reply: "no real damage, I banged the aluminum rail with a rubber mallet twice and fixed it!" the tech said. I said "great, you didn't need to replace anything at all" They said "nope" Next thing I know a month or 2 goes by and I receive an invoice in the amount of $519.26 for: "Additional cost for rails, labour and material". I respond: "that there was no additional rails, labour, or material (besides 2 swings of a rubber mallet). Please void this invoice" . Instead. I am hounded, threatened by legal teams, operations etc.. I will not ever pay this invoice. I am withholding the greener homes grant money until I receive an apology and proof in writing that this invoice is void and removed from my account.

Absolutely horrid customer service. When it came for the final electrical inspection on the system to get it operational. IT FAILED. I notified the company by email on July 4,2023 that the inspection had failed and expected a reply stating the deficiencies would be fixed immediately. Not the case. I received an email back the next day stating it was being passed on to the installation department. A week went by with no response. I emailed again stating I had heard nothing. I received a email the next day stating my concern had been escalated and how they were working to regain my trust. Still nothing concrete regarding the resolution of the deficiencies. Today I received an email that was insulting ti my intelligence stating that the part needed was being special ordered. It is an electrical box that is available at app electrical supply stores. It is a part that should have been included if the company had looked up the electrical code in my jurisdiction and been sent at install. There are no words that I can think of that could describe the total lack of concern this company has. As there no 0 rating I have selected a 1 star rating. This is way more than this company deserves.
