BLACK MOLD APARTMENT RENTED TO ME!! Do Not Rent From These People!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY and try to say you are wrong… EVEN WHEN YOU SHOW THEM PROOF!! They do not care for your health, the laws or even care to properly inform you of building changes including lock changes, parking lot sweeps and more. They left us without floors in our apartment for 8 months and would not email or call us back when we asked for updates. We have EXPOSED BLACK MOLD in our kitchen and they ignored our safety concern. They are ignorant and if you catch them in a lie they say “sorry, your documents don’t match our records' ' which is their way of NOT REPORTING their mistakes and HEALTH risks to their tenants. We have been verbally abused by every one of our Acting Landlord Managers and their internal communications suck. I will list more things they did 1) Did not inform us of lock changes, so we were locked out of our own building in -25c weather. They said "sorry, our departments must not have told each other" So we had to buy a hotel room because they did not do their job? We didn't even get an apology, in fact, I got harassed as "I could not prove I was locked out because of them" What a joke. 2) Did not send anyone to look at our flooded apartment for 2 days after the flood, we rented, we could only do so much. The people who came by were not even aware that we were renting. 3) Tried to downplay the mold and other health hazards they found in the building. They would not answer our calls/texts or emails about the potential health hazards BLACK MOLD possesses on humans. 4) Verbally abused me when I asked for updates on when we might get a floor. We lived on plywood for 8 months, no sympathy, no apology, no anything. 5) When their payment system was down, and we tried to pay rent, and THEIR SYSTEM would not accept the payment, they still charged us a $270 LATE FEE THAT WAS THEIR FAULT. I do not recommend living here or living with these people as your landlords. 6) A Contractor THEY HIRED dinged up our floors once they were finally completed after 9 months, and REMAX IS TRYING TO CHARGE US FOR HIS DAMAGES. 7) When you try to call these people out, they just fabricate a story about YOU being "difficult" with no actual evidence of it. 8) These people are crooks and you should not trust them with your property. They will only give you a bad name at the end of the day. 9) AHS is being notified of the buildings conditions. 10) They are trying to charge us for "Re-Doing" the floors where the Cat Litter Box and TV Stand were due to "Wear and Tear" They are trying to charge us for wear and tear that is literally impossible to avoid. We have mats down for the cats and stoppers on the TV Stand. 11) Black Mold is considered livable by their standards, see attached Screenshot.
