University of Alberta Online and Continuing Education

The Faculty of Extension at the University of Alberta hosts the university's central online and continuing education platform. Extension provides a wide array of professional and continuing education opportunities, with over 1000 classes and more than 300 continuing educational courses offered to roughly 7,000 adults each year. The programs are aimed at entry-level, mid-career, and advanced learners. The University of Alberta and its buildings, labs, and research stations are located on the land of Cree, Blackfoot, Metis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, and Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe nations; these are part of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 territory, as well as Metis land. The institution recognizes First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and Metis sovereignty and land as well as their historical traditions, languages, and knowledge systems.
