About this business

Born in Strathmore, Alberta, I graduated from high school and attended the University of Lethbridge, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts with an Economics major. While in Lethbridge, I mostly played or watched hockey. Jason Cragg was my university's recreational hockey and floor hockey coach. It was in Lethbridge that I met my husband, Jason Cragg. We both frequented Lethbridge Hurricanes WHL games and watched Jason play for the UofL Pronghorns. I also worked on summer road construction crews removing asphalt in Lethbridge. I moved on to the University of Calgary, where I earned my Bachelor of Laws. During those years, I also worked three summers for the City of Calgary. Jason and I were season-ticket holders for the Calgary Hitmen. We loved going to the away games with our Hitmen team and playing hockey with the Junior Hockey Junkies. Jason and I moved to Red Deer after graduating from law school. In 2009, we moved to Red Deer. Within two weeks of living in Red Deer, I began working for a Red Deer law firm. Mentors were always available in the office, and I was given the responsibility of a solicitor for Red Deer and other Central Alberta municipalities while working there. Because of my involvement with the Municipal Law Section of the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, I engaged in learning and networking meetings on Municipal Law. From my Red Deer law office experience, I obtained this transferable Municipal Law knowledge. I was also responsible for property reports, property fraud prevention, compliance with municipal laws, permit development, and secondary suites.
