At the Burnaby Montessori School, we have been shaping the future leaders since 1995. Our mission is to provide a happy and friendly space where kids can grow as capable, clever, and confident individuals and learn to love learning. Our classrooms at Burnaby Montessori are built for kids of different abilities and age groups. Our preschool program at Burnaby Montessori runs for half a day and is designed for kids aged 2.5-5. There is a preschool for 4 to 5-year-olds, and Montessori kindergarten and grade 1 for 5-6-year-old kids. Burnaby Montessori programmes are organized into various schedules that blend seamlessly with the average family’s daily routine. The excellent and friendly atmosphere of our program makes kids and their parents feel at home. Each kid at Burnaby Montessori School is treated with kindness, respect and love. This happy and friendly place is home for children and parents. The practical life skill is one of the key skills that Burnaby Montessori School offers. Practical life activities are everyday activities such as using household, kitchen, baking, and cleaning tools and dressing and undressing. This activity helps kids acquire muscular control. This, in turn, helps them coordinate and perfect their movements. The activity involves both gross and fine motor skills while developing hand-eye coordination. It also enhances independence and social skills. Practical life activities are based on real-life experiences and need constant practice. They include self-care, care of the environment, grace, and courtesy, and control of movement. Self-care activities include washing hands, dressing up, and toilet training. Clothes and laundry are also part of this learning section. Taking care of the environment aims to help kids develop the concept of order and neatness. Dusting and wiping a table, dusting, and washing dishes are some of the items included. Grace and courtesy activities are the most varied in practical life skills. They include greeting someone and thanking them for their time. Controlling movement includes walking along a line and walking in a circle. For many kids, Montessori activities for practical life are familiar activities that can be enjoyed even more. At Burnaby Montessori, we look forward to expanding a child’s abilities in these activities.

Burnaby Montessori reviews are positive, children are engaged and learning. Teachers are caring, communicative, and focused on students' growth. One parent appreciates feeling like part of a continuous, effective communication loop. Most reviewers praised school hours, long hours allowing easy scheduling. Parents think the administrators run a safe and warmly organized institution. This level of care and professionalism is a common theme, building community and a learning support network. The children are smart, excited, and learning a lot. Parents approve of the school's safety protocols, as they provided necessary in-person learning. The Montessori system has helped kids grow in ways that amaze parents, with several noting that cancelled craft days would be the main complaint. Many point out that parent teacher meetings are quite informative, we found that the environment is friendly and safe and many recommend the school for new enrollment. The school's two years old, for example, has made great strides and is almost potty trained. Most parents seem to admire the school's hard work, celebrating their children's progress, and some volunteers have also expressed a need for a small appreciation plan. The distance to the school is significant, but so is the excellent reviews many families have left here. Most notably, children come home and want to sing the alphabet and are motivated to go to school even on weekends, showing the strength of such a positive school community. In general, all reviewers are satisfied and recommend others.
