About PHL Capital Corp PHL Capital was founded in 2008 by Purewall. He is a licensed mortgage broker with over 20 years of experience in financing and real estate development. He co-manages and manages the Company while serving as a member of the Lending Committee. He is also a director of MortEq Lending Corp. and has managed and coordinated all facets of the Company's activities. Steve Ponte is a partner. Before founding PHL capital, Purewall held various roles at TD Commercial Bank, specializing in commercial and real estate lending. The Lanyard Group is a real-estate investment banking and real estate firm. Simon Fraser University awarded Mr. Purewall a Bachelor in Business Administration with a specialization on marketing and finance. Purewall is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. PHL Capital was founded by Steve Ponte, Parm Purewall, and both of their experiences as senior commercial lenders at a major financial institution. During their time as bankers, they met many people and companies. These individuals or businesses were often ineligible for bank loans due to non-traditional credit criteria. They discovered that many of these individuals exhibited low credit risk and deserved an opportunity.
