Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art was established in 2008 by the Bill Reid Foundation to celebrate the Haida Master Artist Bill Reid (1920-1998) and the complex culture of the Northwest Coast. The Art Collection of Bill Reid at SFU and the Gallery’s unique exhibitions and programs serve the Foundation’s commitment to fostering understanding among all peoples through the understanding of Indigenous and settler societies. Bill Reid Gallery presents Northwest Coast Indigenous and settler values, increasing understanding of their cultural significance. This includes Northwest Coast artwork, books, and products. Everything from the Gallery Shop is inspired by Bill Reid's work or has been shown in our exhibitions. The Gallery Shop features contemporary Northwest Coast Indigenous Artists, and every purchase supports the programs of Bill Reid Gallery.
