ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Costco Tire Center revolutionized retail in under two decades. In 1976, San Diego businessman Sol Price brought the concept to life. At Price Club, the world's first warehouse membership club, members saved unprecedented amounts thanks to efficient buying and operating procedures. Initially open to enterprises, Price Club sold a wide variety of wholesale and supplies. The executive vice president of merchandising, distribution and marketing was Jim Sinegal. He helped refine product and marketing strategies, leading to Price Club's success. Sinegal, a Price Club veteran of seven years, leveraged his experience to co-found Costco Wholesale with Jeff Brotman. The first store opened in Seattle in 1983. Both Price Club Wholesale and Costco Wholesale innovated and expanded during the decade that followed. In 1993, the mega-retailers merged, putting together an unparalleled leadership team that turned Costco into a favorite warehouse club worldwide. You still recognize Costco as the company grows. The following core values attract and retain millions of customers worldwide. Quality commitment. Costco's warehouses have around 4,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs), far less than a typical grocery store's 30,000. The company provides consumers with great value by meticulously selecting products based on quality, price, brand, and features. Entrepreneurial spirit. Costco employees have been entrepreneurial for decades. Everyone shares responsibility for beating customer expectations, from the management team to the floor staff. Focus on employees. Costco ranks ahead of other Fortune 500 businesses when it comes to employee focus. The company provides the best benefits and pay its employees fairly, ensuring that only talented, positive people work here. Canada has over ten million members. The average customer spends CDN$25 billion every year.

Ordered tires online. Said they were in stock. Obviously in stock doesn't mean in stock the way most people interpret it. At Costco it means somewhere in their supply chain. Took three weeks to get them in. Once they arrived, I tried to book an appointment online to get them installed. Two months - no openings on their online booking calendar. Tried calling my local store. 10 calls. No one ever picked up. Drove an hour to the store. Told they could squeeze me in in 11 days. Took my tires and had them installed same day elsewhere. Worst customer experience ever. Would never buy tires from Costco again.
very bad customer services and rude.
