Dr. Yuk Shuen Wong

Dr. Yuk Shuen Wong, RP, PhD, is a registered psychologist who is fluent in English and Chinese. Her research interests include special needs children and family relations, as well as immigrant issues. Dr. Wong received her doctorate at the University of British Columbia and was a professor at the University of British Columbia and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has a lot of experience in the fields of counseling, education, and rehabilitation. She offers psychological assessments and treatments to people referred to her by schools, insurance companies, and law firms. Dr. Wong collaborates with many clinical counselors. These psychological and counseling services are available in English and, to a lesser extent, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean. These therapies are intended for children and adults with concerns such as learning and developmental problems and pain issues. Dr. Wong is also a member of the Disaster Psychosocial Network of BC Provincial Disaster Stress & Trauma Responses Services. Additionally, Dr. Wong has been accredited to offer Cogmed Memory Training, an evidence-based program that improves working memory and attention.
