Ed Coates and Roy Lord launched the first Lordco Auto Parts location in 1974 in Maple Ridge, BC. They quickly established themselves as a reputable auto parts supplier and provided exceptional customer service to the local community. As the founders' reputation in the auto industry grew, the company expanded its operations to multiple locations throughout the province. Ed purchased Roy's stake in the business in 1980, and he chose to expand in BC. Ed passed away in 2014, sadly. Ed Coates Memorial Foundation was established by his family, Marlyn and his children Samantha, Ian Sarah and Candace to celebrate Ed Coates legacy. Ed Coates family members are members of Lordco Auto Part's Executive Leadership Team, running the company according to Ed Coates' philosophy and values. Our humble beginning in a 900 SF space grew to Western Canada's largest privately owned automotive parts distributor. Western Canada's largest retailer and distributor of aftermarket parts and accessories. We have over 80 locations, including nine truck centers, seven central distribution centres, more than 2,000 employees, a delivery fleet of 500 vehicles, and over 360,000 part numbers. Our stores are spread across Western Canada, and we actively support our communities.

The Lordco location gets a lot of positive notes. One of the customers was looking for help with their product search and found it in the staff. They found a few technical issues but still came through on it. They really appreciated the service and acknowledges the effort of the staff. The employees' helpful and knowledgeable nature stands out in many of the reviews. This is a big pro of this store. They also have a shop that is well organized and well-stocked as written in some reviews. The quick and customer-oriented service is mentioned more than once. Another good factor. Most of the buyers show desire to return to the store. The reviews don't include many cons. Most of the buyers had a good time. One wants the shoppers to visit the store again.
