Every bespoke piece of jewellery is a labour of love. Each can be brief or lengthy, simple or intricate. Craig and Catherine, a warm couple, have received a ring that is deeply personal and complicated after many months. The creative process is a pleasant and light-hearted experience in which I work with clients to build a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery. We had about seven meetings over seven months. This was a fun and creative process. I hope you enjoy it. Second meeting: we brought in gem stones on memo for Catherine to try on. This was crucial because we could experiment with various shapes, sizes, and colours. The jewel dealer can loan the rocks. Any gems that are not up to snuff can be returned to the dealer at no cost.
