About this business
Our team has been together for over 14 years, and together we have over 200 years' worth of recruitment experience. This point that is not relevant to many. However, these facts tell you we have over ten years of making people the heart of our decisions. SWIM was founded by Simon Wood and Bodil Geyer in 2007. Their mission was to transform the experience for all jobseekers and potential employers. We still operate under this people-first approach today. We have a “partnership and consultative” strategy to recruiting, which enables us to form long-lasting bonds with job seekers and employers. This approach is successful as our satisfied clients and candidates frequently refer new business opportunities.

This recruitment company placed a candidate in a leadership role, but they did not last three months. While the candidate appeared qualified and interviewed well, it quickly became evident that she was overwhelmed by the responsibilities. SWIM presented several replacement candidates; however, none were of senior leadership caliber. When we sourced a suitable candidate on our own, the company refused to refund our fee, leaving us over $40,000 out of pocket.
Their senior management sent multiple emails defending their position and denying a refund, claiming they spent hundreds of hours on the account—a claim that seemed unfounded. I would advise exercising extreme caution when dealing with this firm. I have not heard from them since informing them of my intent to pursue small claims to recover the funds.
