Maple Leaf School of Russian Ballet aims to provide instruction on the Bolshoi Curriculum and Vaganova Method while also delving into contemporary dance styles and choreographies. Vaganova-centric techniques and concepts, sophisticated by Agrippina, are still broadly used. He has helped produce some of history's most famous dancers, such as Ulanova and Nureyev. Baryshnikov and Zakharova were also instructed by these methods. David C. Beales is our director. "The Vaganova Method has a very long history, and it's ideal for developing technique and line purity...," he says. Beales' enthusiasm for Russian techniques is evident in his teaching and Maple Leaf School of Russian Ballet's vision. Our school enables students from around the world learn the ballet techniques of the Bolshoi Academy and Vaganova Academy under Mr. Beales' guidance. He is the only certified instructor in Canada with certifications from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Faculty and the Vaganova Ballet Academy. Our dancers are treated to top-tier training that we take great pride in.
