Shift Energy Group

We are still waiting for Shift to complete our installation 5 months into our 3 month project. Project management has been dismal from the day the deposit was made with absolutely no communication from Shift on details, progress, or timeline. It took them 2 months to apply for required permits and I had to suggest cancelling before they produced a project timeline. The panels were installed but was delayed because they had not arranged for the roofer to approve the mounting system (warranty). I had to call back the installation crew twice to clean up the poor workmanship in my attic. This week I was told that, although the panels are finally connected to the grid, it will be another 3 or 4 weeks before Shift might complete the job. The reason? "it's not a dishwasher we're installing..." said Patrick, the regional manager. Mansplaining is not what I would call good customer service. "Do you know how to turn a breaker off?" condescended Patrick when I reported that the crew left the system connected contrary to BCHydro rules. Contrary to all of the positive reviews I see, our experience has been absolutely disappointing. Instead of trying to fix the issues with some good service and communication, Shift is doubling down and suggesting my expectations are the issue - remember the 5+ months into the 3 month project part? Please do yourself a favour and avoid Shift for your solar project.
