Description for Sweetpea Gallery: Sweetpea Gallery presents a new artworld that is accessible to rising artists and invites collectors and people from marginalized communities. We are a bi-coastal, women-led organization dedicated to building an inclusive community of creatives. Since artists have to put in the work themselves in their aging years, we aim to support new artists before they've acquired white hair. We create digital and physical spaces, curating engaging online content and organizing pop-up galleries for art showcases, with funds from merchandise sales and artwork. We connect artists and art to you, the audience. Since revolutionaries come in all shapes, sizes, and telltale colors, we prioritize involvement of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. We recognize and work to dismantle systematic issues affecting our entire system.
