History of the University (WCCMT)
WCCMT Victoria was founded back in 1999. For more than a quarter-century, the West Coast College of Massage Therapy has thrived, as has its sister campus in New Westminster. The Victoria campus holds classrooms with 13,000 square feet. The central location makes it easier to access major bus routes, coffee shops, and numerous restaurants. The campus culture is quite open and fosters a warm and encouraging environment well suited for learning. The university has approximately 120 students, while the faculty comprises more than 40 employees. The campus has numerous classrooms and a state of the art academic and practice learning environment. Moreover, the East 1 and West building also sports an In-reach Clinic and a Public Intern Clinic, which are open between 3 and 5 days per week and augment learning tremendously. The Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training (PTIB) has authorized and designated WCCMT's TM program.
