ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Credentials With the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) and a master's degree in counselling, my qualifications. Therapy, counselling, and educational experience for over twenty years. Experience with young people, partners, and individuals for years allows me to develop solution-focused care plans. Conceptual Framework Many people are suffering and could use support to change and revive their lives. I want to help individuals and couples grow and be happy. I use a person-centered and strength-based approach in my therapeutic work. Therapeutic Style Approach activities and life as you are. I get the best results when people embrace their reality. Always communicate and be empathetic and assure that both of you understand what you are experiencing. Respect and trust are critical. I want you to bring any concerns, such as spiritual and existential issues, to the session. Specialty Concerns Further Training My practice involves Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a well-tested treatment for trauma. This therapy has helped many individuals heal their trauma and addiction. Emotionally focused therapy: Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) research by Dr Susan Johnson's has revolutionized couples therapy over the last two decades. EFT therapy is based on solid research in attachment theory and how relationships work. The therapy helps couples de-escalate their conflict cycles. This allows the other partner to hear and connect with the relationship's emotions and experiences. The therapy is relatively short-term, with few sessions lasting between 8 and 20 sessions. The Gottman Method: John Gottman and Julie Gottman, inspired by Dr. Susan Johnson's work, used their own research-based approach to help couples. This method helps couples to reconnect by identifying the areas they need to improve. You will undergo a comprehensive relationship evaluation together, followed by specific strategies that target your relationship issues. Reality Therapy: This therapy helps you focus on your specific behavior, including relationships.
