Some of the Real Estate Law work that Tim does is not legal fees. These are called disbursements or out-of-pocket expenses. There’s no mark-up. All disbursements will be charged at the actual price. Disbursements include costs such as title and tax search fees and land transfer tax. All land title filing fees, title searches, tax searches, couriers and title insurance are included. Surveys are also included. A small fee for file materials to cover hundreds of pages we need to copy and print (usually $30.00) These disbursements will be charged to the client at the time they are incurred. There may also be an adjustment for property taxes to credit the person who paid the property taxes.
