TUTOR PROFILE: I am 1986 Bachelor of Education graduate, a 2002 Special Ed Certificate graduate, teaching in the K-9 system in Canada and the U.S. for 27 years; I spent 22 of those working with students with learning disabilities and behavior challenges. In my youth I was unsuccessful learner, so I know how it feels. Please describe the number of years of experience you have as a tutor of the selected topic/subject. Targeted Tutoring I customize a program based on your child's needs. I value collaborating with your child's school and teacher. I aim to make sure the skills you practice with me will transfer to learning in the classroom. To achieve this, I use many evidence-based practices and programs. People learn best when the learning is fun and rewarding. I like to include hands-on activities.
