About this business

In 1975, Stanley Krulicki and his four sons established S. Krulicki & Sons Inc, now the parent company for Winnipeg Moving & Storage. The company emerged after S. Krulicki acquired Gimli Transfer & Storage (a local trucking business) in Gimli. In these early years, freight was the primary income. Furniture moving was the second-highest. Since Allied Van Lines was founded, S. Krulicki is a member. In 1986, the company acquired offices in Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. They also have warehouses in Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. The company decided to sell its freight division in the 1980s to concentrate on its storage and moving business. Bradley Krulicki bought S. Krulicki & Sons in 2000 and remains at the helm today. After purchasing freight from bankrupt Reilly Transfer, the company began to focus on the growth of an opportunity in freight. The company started blanketing blanket-wrapped freight loads through North America and returning with freight. Sales increased as the company became Allied's top private household booker. The company also amplified its freight transportation capacity by buying other firms and expanding its Allied Van Lines hauler fleet. Winnipeg Moving and Traditional Moving are Allied's only agents in Manitoba and North Western Ontario. They thus move families coast-to-coast and internationally.
