Wooftopia Dog Training and Recreation Centre

Wooftopia Dog Training & Recreation Centre is Winnipeg's premier and newest day camp for dogs. Located just six minutes from Kenaston Boulevard and McGillivray Boulevard or 18 minutes from the city centre. Desiree opened Wooftopia after founding her first company, Animal Instincts Dog Training and Obedience. Training is crucial to your dog's health and development, alongside regular vet care. There's a class to suit your needs, whether you have a specific issue you need to work on or need your dog's manners improved. Each session is tailored to the needs of you and your dog. The exercises are designed to be completed at your pace but still ensure your dog's success. This class is for dogs who are six months and older. You will learn the basics: sit, stay, and down. We aim to help you build a bond with your dog. By the end of the class, you will be able to read your dog's body language and exercise him physically and mentally.

Wooftopia is a loving, friendly and supportive facility, with a heavy focus on education, training and community focus. The operator specifically focuses on building personal relationships with each dog and his or her family. There is a regular cadence of contact to both dogs and their humans, including training updates, photos and other communication. The facility offers a variety of supplemental therapies, such as zen pens, cuddle time and aromatherapy to help make the dogs' experience more positive and rewarding. The employees are trained to recognize subtle behaviors that can signal a dog's anxiety or stress, and best practices on helping alleviate it. While my pup is not overly socially excited, Wooftopia is helping her gain confidence and has experienced more relaxed grooming sessions and other activities after these sessions. I highly recommend Wooftopia to all dog owners.
