FBM Architecture | Interior Design

Founded in 1912, FBM has been a prominent architectural firm for over a century. We have designed over 100 projects in all four Atlantic Provinces and won numerous design awards. FBM's mission is to create buildings that benefit the lives of the community we are serving. This is what we call "people-driven design." Our portfolio is made up of a variety of different building types and projects. However, our work is driven by shared values. We create places where people feel good. We believe that the details matter. We also believe that our projects should be about creating communities. What we love most is how form, structure, and light can be used to make people happy. Nature is our inspiration. We use it to bring out assets like light, context, and history. Everyday activities and how they are brought into the building give them dignity and joy. They also improve the community around them. At the same time, our buildings enhance the community in which we work. We are proud of the sustainable, safe, and socially responsible buildings we have created. But our richest reward is that our work reveals how we can make people happy and healthy through connection and design. FBM's century-long history is as strong and complicated as the character of the city of Halifax. Our work looks forward to the next 100 years.
