Halifax ALTA Gymnastics Club founders formed the club in 1991. Tak Kikuchi and Keiji Yamanaka. ALTA Gymnastics Club has been moving from place to place. In 1997, we used six years of the South Street Gorsebrook gym before moving to our present building. ALTA is an abbreviation that means "Altius." It was to remind the founders of the commitment to attain higher objectives. It comes from the Olympic motto, "Citius Altius Fortius," which means faster, higher, and stronger. The club established the motto in 1995. It has inspired and challenged gymnasts worldwide to attain greater accomplishments and potential. Members will have the opportunity to stay for the following session to fix your current class. On November 14th, online registration will open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. till November 18th. Members should not register for another class or any time/age group this week. Register will close by 8 p.m. November 18th. Members who fail to register by the stipulated time will lose their spot.
