Title: Jessica Marsh, Registered Massage Therapist Stress and pain reduction, healthy joints and muscles, increased circulation, better breathing, and overall well-being have been shown in research to be some of the benefits of massage therapy. In this workshop, Jessica Marsh RMT will teach participants how to massage their bodies using a variety of techniques. For one hour, the participants will be guided by her. Participants will be fully dressed, with bare feet or socks. The majority of methods can be done while standing or sitting. Jessica Marsh has been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 2000. Her teaching experience includes anatomy and massage therapy at Northumberland College, and she has a private practice in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As part of massage therapy, Jessica gave a series of Treat Yourself workshops to senior citizens who did not have access or could not afford it. The sessions were upbeat and informative. She showed us exercises and gave us ideas on how to use everyday items like tennis balls, rolling pins, elbows, and fists to free up tight areas in the body. She provided us with not only learning opportunities but the gift and ability to laugh. This is a healing tool.
