Marion McCain Arts and Social Sciences Building

The Marion McCain Arts and Social Sciences Building (the FASS Building) was launched in 2001. It is a center in which we have auditoriums, language labs, classrooms and the Arts and Social Sciences Departments’ offices. Our academic programs are based in Nova Scotia (Mi’kma’ki), Canada, with four different campuses: Halifax, Truro, and Yarmouth, and also satellite sites in Saint John and Yarmouth in New Brunswick. We draw an intriguing mix of students, researchers, and faculty from around the globe who work together utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and focus on service. Our 13 faculties receive more than $190,000,000 each year in research funding. Our research and creativity are driven by world-class researchers in laboratories, studios, and the field. We are Atlantic Canada’s top research university and part of the U15 Group of Canadian Universities.
